The Embassy Suites Hotel Portland occupies a painstakingly restored 1912 building that once housed the opulent Multnomah Hotel. The spacious lobby has gold-leafed columns, marble stairways, crystal chandeliers, plush sofas and chairs, and a living room area with fireplace and shelves stocked with books.

Taxis are readily available for transport from the airport to the hotel. MAX, Portland's light rail line, also makes the trip to downtown (within 2 blocks of the hotel) in 35 minutes.
Downtown Portland is easy to maneuver on foot. The Embassy Suites has a by-request courtesy van that transports guests to businesses and attractions within a 2.5-mile radius (not including the convention center). In addition, public buses, streetcars and the MAX light rail line all have stops within blocks of the hotel; rides in the downtown Fareless Square area are complimentary.
